DESCRIPTION:Every school year\, the average teacher winds up spending as much as $400 out of their own pockets on pencils\, paper\, crayons and other classroom supplies because of tight school budgets. Nationwide\, teachers are spending more than a billion dollars every year to stock their classrooms for students.\n\n\n\nChick-fil-A Southaven is reaching out to customers and the community to help make sure all classrooms in Desoto County Schools are well stocked when students arrive in August.\n\n\n\nBeginning Monday\, July 22\, 2013\, Chick-fil-A Southaven will host the Topple the Truck school supply donation drive for local teachers. Unused school supplies will be collected through July 31\, 2013 at the Chick-fil-A Southaven restaurant location only. All types of school supplies are needed\, including pens\, pencils\, notebook paper\, drawing paper\, crayons\, markers\, calculators\, rulers\, book covers\, folders and anything else that will help teachers get their classrooms ready for the upcoming school year. The donations will be loaded onto a giant truck on and delivered to the Desoto County school district office soon after.\n\n\n\nFor every unused school item in its original package that is donated during the Topple the Truck supply drive\, Chick-fil-A Southaven will give out a coupons for FREE Chick-fil-A items based on the value of the donated item.
