He was diagnosed with Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH) which is a liver disease with a potential to cause cirrhosis\, liver failure and liver cancer. The Taste of DeSoto now carries Tim's name due to his dedication and enthusiasm in spreading the word about liver wellness and helping others with liver disease.\n\nLast year\, with approximately 900 attendees\, this event made a net profit of over $39\,000 for the programs and services of the American Liver Foundation Mid-South Division.
