According to the American Heart Association\, heart disease accounts for over 800\,000 deaths in the US in one year.  Learn more about a quick test to detect plaque buildup at a time when it can be treated and information about a new intensive cardiac rehab. program to provide cardiac patients the support and education needed to help commit to a new\, healthier lifestyle.\n\n \n\nDr. Arie Szatkowski\, board-certified cardiologist\,  will be sharing information about a simple 10-minute scan that can detect heart disease before symptoms ever occur.   Find out if you could be at risk.  After the test\, patients will work with their doctor or one of our board-certified cardiologists to use their coronary calcium scoring test results to create a preventive health care plan.  \n\n \n\nDr. Dharmesh Patel\, board-certified cardiologist\, will be sharing information about the new Pritikin Intensive Cardiac Rehab. Program. This is an outpatient program for patients after they have a cardiac event.   The 12 week program is built on three pillars:  exercise\, healthy mindset and nutrition.  The program consists of exercise classes\, educational workshops\, cooking school\, and group behavioral sessions to return cardiac patients to an active lifestyle.  \n\n \n\nGet better with Baptist.
