DESCRIPTION:Baptist DeSoto has scheduled a community covid vaccine event for March 2-4. We will is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to persons 65 years and over and those 16-64 years old with underlying medical conditions\, as follow: cancer\, chronic kidney disease\, COPD\, Down Syndrome\, heart conditions (such as heart failure\, coronary artery disease\, or cardiomyopathies) immunocompromised from solid organ transplant\, obesity\, pregnancy\, sickle cell disease\, smoking\, diabetes\, or any other medical conditions determined by the medical provider.  According to the MS Department of Health\, all who receive a vaccine must live or work in Mississippi. We have a very limited number of vaccines at this time and we will take appointments as long as vaccines are available. \n\n \n\nBaptist DeSoto will be administering vaccines in the DeSoto Rooms from 8:00 am   4:00 pm by appointment ONLY on the following days:\n\nTuesday\, March 2\n\nWednesday\, March 3\n\nThursday\, March 4\n\n \n\nWe began scheduling appointments on February 23 at 9 am. To schedule an appointment\, people will need to call 662-772-4499 between 9 am   4 pm. We have a very limited number of vaccines at this time and we will take appointments as long as vaccines are available. As we anticipate a high call volume\, please be prepared to hold on the line until someone is available to make the appointment. If someone is showing symptoms of COVID-19\, please wait until a later date to schedule the vaccination.
