Demps Golf Classic is a fundraising event in honor of Ms. Mary Elizabeth Demps\, who was an educator in the New York City School System for over 30 years working with special needs students and helping to put them on the path to higher education. She was instrumental in many of her family members attending HBCUs such as Fisk University and Tennessee State University. The MED Scholarship Fund's sole purpose is to support youth activities and raise funds for students attending HBCUs. Proceeds from the tournament will go to enhance educational opportunities for youth and other individuals who\, due to financial limitations\, are not able to fully provide the same for themselves.
